Yesturday we had a great musical evening. Jamie came over and we were jamming all evening, having a great time. Jamie studies Psychology at the University of British Columbia and works part time at the Branch of TD Canada Trust (Bank). Thats where I met him and soon we found out that he shares a great interest with us: Music. Jamie is so talented and has an amazingly beautiful voice.

We wanted to record some songs but unfortunetly the software wouldnt match our PCs somehow.

We spent the evening jamming, we played a lot of jazz tunes and neville played the piano, Me and Jamie sang, Shaun played sax and Bernard played trumpet. We had a lot of fun and had a good time jamming together. On this night we drank rum and cokes and enjoyed some pasta made by the head chef himself Neville. Jamie sang the mariah carey song "Shake it off", he sang it and he sang it well ! He does a great job on R&B stuff and did some impros on the song.

After jamming, drinking, eating and talking we walked jamie to the bus stop and then went to Darlenes store to show it to Shaun and Bernard. We were suprised when we realized that she was still there working in her shop at 12 am. She was happy to see us and that she finally got to meet Berard and Shaun. Realizing it was 12 am we wished Neville a Happy Birthday.

Today we are celebrating Nevs Birthday and as usual he hates it when we are fussing over his Birthday. But....we ll still do...;o) as we love him...

Have a great day everybody and see you later.

Nevs nephews Shaun and Bernard are visiting us this week and we are all having great fun cooking, eating, laughing joking and jamming all night. They are amazingly talented guys and I was honoured to be part of the "gang".

Yesturday Nev cooked some Byriani and after playing some tunes together we took off for a long walk down at the seawall. It was very foggy but the beauty of nature with its huge trees and greeneries was still fabulous.
As we were freezing cold we had a cup of tea back home and fell fast asleep shortly after.

This morning I woke up at 7.45 am and took a walk to get some croissents for the 3 hungry men and quickly popped into my friend Melodies Dog care store to say hi where I was very friendly greeted by her barking dogs...

I was just back home in time when Nev had finished cooking some scrambled coriander egg and sausages. That was soooooo delicious ....just to die for !!! Now you guys know why I am always so concerned about my weight...
My husband is not only a great musician, he is also a fantastic cook ! (Just for the ones who didnt get to taste his amazing dishes....)

At 11:40 am These guys headed off for their rehursal with their band as they are as well doing recordings in a studio in North Vancouver, wich is only a 30 Min. drive from West Van away.

They will be rehursing until next week and then all togheter fly as a band to Singapore, where they have a gig for three months.
We are enjoying it so much to be hosts for another few days and will hopefully be able to tell you more about this exiting weekend later.

Bye for now and take care, we'll keep you posted.
